Valley Oaks receives over a million dollars to help in addressing the Opioid Crisis in Rural Counties

Lafayette, Indiana – May 30,2019- Valley Oaks was awarded $1,034,699.00 by the Division of Mental Health and Addiction via the State Opioid Response Grant as the funding source.

This funding will help with implementing a multi-faceted, integrated approach to treating opioid use disorders in Tippecanoe, White, and Jasper Counties. This will include developing trauma informed-recovery-oriented systems of care, a mobile response team, Emergency Department Prescribers, peer recovery support in the community, and wrap around services for patients and families.

The goal of this program is to engage and treat individuals and families suffering from opioid use disorder in Tippecanoe, White, and Jasper Counties.

The program is a community-based peer recovery model that works with several providers in the region. 

Valley Oaks has contracted with Phoenix Paramedic Solutions to provide the Peer Recovery 

Outreach Team and is working with Home with Hope to provide the Peer Recovery Coaches.
