Community mental health has always been a passion for Dan Arens, and it shows in his 25+ years of work in the safety net behavioral health, primary care, addictions, and child welfare field.

Today, Dan is proud to work with Valley Oaks Health’s staff and partners to provide access to quality mental health and addiction care in nine central Indiana counties. He believes there’s no such thing as “good health” without good mental health. That’s why he’s committed to reducing stigma around mental health and creating a path for community members to live happy, healthy lives.

Outside of work, you can find Dan and his wife hiking in the outdoors, boating, eating at local restaurants, or visiting their adult children in Cincinnati and Bloomington.
