Camp Glow 2019

Registration Now Open!

The purpose of GLOW is to provide education and support for all 5 to 18-year-olds in our area who are in need of mental health services and who meet case management criteria.  In order to qualify for case management, the child must have an eligible mental health diagnosis and demonstrate an appropriate level of need.  This treatment will include activities that enhance children’s social development, including cooperation, sharing, anger management, and interpersonal skills.  We will be teaching life skills, stress management, social skills, coping skills, activities of daily living skills, communication skills, and relationship building skills.  All of this will be done utilizing the most innovative group techniques by both therapists and case managers.  Activities will be done on and off site throughout the community.

Dates / Days, Time, Frequency, Duration: Camp Glow will be held Monday-Friday from 9:00am-1:00PM June 10TH  – July 17TH , 2019.

Outcomes to Expect:  Clients will work in a group setting to improve skills in a variety of areas relevant to their age group and diagnosis. Skills that will be addressed will include Social Skills, Anger Management, Health, Hygiene, and fitness, Stress Management, Decision Making, Assertiveness, Self-Esteem Building and more depending on the needs of the group. Clients will also build skills for locating and utilizing community resources and activities.
